1How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!2My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.3Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.
4Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.
5Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them. [Whose heart is set on our God]
6Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
7They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.
8O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
9Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.
10For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
12O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
Lord, look at Your faithfulness! Who am I that You should be mindful of me? Yet You bless me because I praise You. You allow me to lavish my heart on You (and forgive me in the moments where I don’t, but I should be!).
You allow me to dwell in Your house! God let me be ruined for anything but being with You. Let nothing else satisfy me, but being in Your holy presence. My heart is set on You and You are my strength. And You promise to take me from strength to strength – and to hear my prayers!
You are my Shield – my Protector – my Provider – -my Sun – my Light – my everything! I desire to know You more. To dwell with You and to forever be in Your presence. I never want to leave You!
I trust You, Lord. Who have I, but You? You – the giver of grace and glory. You who withholds no good thing from those that walk uprightly… help me to walk uprightly Lord. I believe You are. And I believe You are a rewarder of those who diligently serve You.
Help me walk pleasing unto You. Help me not to be distracted or impressed by what the enemy would want to get me looking at. Let my eyes stay fixed on Your fiery gaze. My heart is Yours. My life is Yours. All I am and have is Yours. Help me to walk that out. Bless me Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
