Awesome God and a beautiful church family

I am still basking in the afterglow of an amazing evening at church.

Awesome pre-meeting fellowship when we arrived at church (as always) and I sensed the Holy Spirit’s presence increase during a conversation about the Lord’s faithfulness and His purpose for our awesome church home – Destiny.

Anointed teaching by Phil and powerful corporate prayer during our community life group.  In the small groups the Lord was moving and showing His faithfulness as people delved into and discussed His word and ministered to one another… and He gave words of encouragement and healing.  As one group member prayed to close us out – the Holy Spirit’s presence was tangible – she prayed a bold prayer for significant finances for a dear sister of mine called to mission work this summer and He gave her a word of knowledge for Allen and I as she prayed for exactly what we needed but hadn’t even asked for… He just rocks my world!

After service everyone was hanging out (as always) and I was overwhelmed as I basked in the family He’s given us there at Destiny.  Quiet conversations with so many people who have become such dear friends in such a short time.  Even if the night had ended there I would have gone home soaring on God’s goodness, but He wasn’t done.

Then Maria and Alyssa began the prayer for Vinny and so many joined in and the sense of His presence continued to increase and many more came around to join in.  Such a sense of family – support and love – just awesome!  Then I got to watch as friends rallied around Maria and had made her dream of having a camera to take to Belize a reality by all chipping in and buying her one… truly the body working together to bless and encourage one another – what an AWESOME family we have!

Then I was called away to hear the good news that the significant finances we’d just prayed for came in and she’ll leave for her missions work in the next day or two!  How amazing is God?  How faithful – how able to follow through when we will respond in faith to what He asks us to do (whether it makes sense in the natural or not… usually not)!  We serve an AWESOME God!

And even more testimonies by were shared by my dear brother… and that is why I am completely overwhelmed.  I came home and could do nothing but worship Him.  He is so amazing and so worthy of our praise!

Hallelujah!  All praise unto the Lamb!
