Psalm 22

Yesterday in church miss Andrea told me that the Lord had woken her up praying Psalm 22 for us.  First off, I’m just blessed God would wake someone up to pray for us; secondly I am grateful Andrea was obedient – we needed it!

So this morning as I read it again in more leisure, a few things jumped out at me…

v 3 (MW translation) But Thou art holy, O Thou that inhabitest the praises of Meghan (and Allen too of course!)

V 4 speaks of “Our fathers trusting… and Thou didst deliver” and after writing more of my testimony the last few days my MW translation reads:

I have trusted in Thee: I have trusted, and Thou hast delivered me!

Also v 7-8 hit me because it speaks of being mocked for trusting God… and we have trusted Him in that place – and will again… always!!!

I also loved v 19:

But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.

And in v 22:

I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

V 26:

The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

V 27 speaks of worship!!!

And finally, v 28 speaks of God’s sovereignty and authority:

For the kingdom is the LORD’s: and he is the governor among the nations.

God is so good!  I love You Lord – bless Andrea for praying… You are soooooo good 🙂
