Creation Declares (Psalm 19:1)

Yesterday, I created a new Dyed4you Art image called At His Feet. It’s based off of Psalm 19:1 (ESV)

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.

So over the last two days I’ve spent a lot of time pondering how His creation can draw us closer to the Living God… YHVH Bore (Yahweh Creator).

In Romans 1:20 we are reminded that we have no excuse not to know He is real because of His creation. Here it is in the NLT (1997):

For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities–His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

His creation speaks of His majesty, grandeur, even His attention to detail! We can learn so much about the Creator simply from observing His creation.

So my question for you to ponder is this: how much time do you spend in His creation? It’s too easy to get busy in our man-made buildings, working on our man-made computers, and fill out lives with man-made pursuits. Then we wonder why we make ourselves into gods and see Him as being “too small” to handle whatever issue happens to be weighing heavily on our heart.

I encourage you to make time to pause and reflect on both creation and the Creator. Find the place that speaks most intensely to your heart and meet Him there.

For me it’s the night sky. When I look at it I can feel Him as vividly as when my hubby is laying beside me in bed. It’s one of the reasons I tend to be a night person! That’s when the barrier between the earthly realm and the spiritual one seems to feel thinner to me… I meet my Creator there ๐Ÿ™‚

I pray Father would help you find YOUR place to meet with Him and that you would take the time to do so. Marvel over His handiwork and fall in love and be in awe all over again!
