Drive with Sheila

Random nuggets from my beautiful drive with Sheila 🙂

The moon was full and was gorgeous!  We couldn’t stop looking at it.  The moon not a light source, yet it appears to be.  But in reality it is just a reflection of the sun.  In the same way, we are not the source of light – we are carriers of God’s light.  We reflect Him.  Beautiful…

As we drove downtown we came to a precious homeless man.  My heart went out to him and so I grabbed the few dollars I had in my pocket.  Sheila rolled down her window and said “Excuse me sir!”

He walked over with the cutest little smile and said, “Thank you for calling me sir.”

The money mattered very little in that moment – it was the courtesy and love that touched his heart… someone felt he was worthy to be called “sir”… it was precious and nearly moved us both to tears.

  1. Oh, this is just precious. She is a true Jesus-person… she looks just like him. His loves gushes through her. And what a precious thing for that man to say. I hope its still resounding in his mind. He is worthy of respect.
