Silk: Mantle of Faith

The name of your silk is Mantle of Faith. The colors in it are:

• Deep dark blue representing strength
• Light blue representing encouraged faith
• Gray representing humility and armor
• Silver shimmer representing strength

The scriptures that go with it are:

• Matthew 19:26 (NLT) Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”
• 1 Corinthians 13:13 (AMP) And now there remain: faith [abiding trust in God and His promises], hope [confident expectation of eternal salvation], love [unselfish love for others growing out of God’s love for me], these three [the choicest graces]; but the greatest of these is love.
• 1 Corinthians 13:11 (TLV) When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put away childish things.

An excerpt from David Guzik’s Study Guide for 1 Corinthians 13 regarding verse 11:

Paul is not trying to say that if we are spiritually mature, we will not need spiritual gifts. But he is saying that if we are spiritually mature, we will not over emphasize spiritual gifts, especially at the expense of love.

God has given you a foundation in LOVE so that as He calls you deeper into the supernatural you will not lose focus on what is important to Him. His supernatural actions and miracles flow from His love. Too easily we can become overly excited about those things and forget that He healed the blind because He LOVED the blind and wanted them to see. The joy is in the man restored, not in the miracle for the miracle’s sake. Keep your heart rooted in His love and let all your motivations flow from there.

Now from that place – that foundation of love – allow your faith to rise.  This is your calling – your mantle – to walk in extraordinary faith. Expand your expectations. Let your faith arise. He’s calling you out of the boat and it’s time to walk on the water simply because He said you could! If He is calling you to it you must respond in faith. You only “fail” when your eyes aren’t fixed on Him and your heart wavers with doubt. Stay fixed in child-like faith, and enter in to those kingdom places with no fear.

He will “satisfy the faint.” What satisfaction does a fainting person need? The word “satisfy” in the Hebrew if “mala’” which is commonly used to express the idea of filling. The word “faint” is “da’avah” which means to flow away. It is also used to express anxiety or distress. However, to stay with the picture of wandering in a desert, we would best render this as faint. The picture is one who has wandered in the desert until he has reached the point of collapse. He has fallen to the ground overcome with thirst and weariness to the point of fainting. God then rides up on His camel loaded with bags of water where the weary travel can drink his fill and God puts him on the camel to carry him to his journey’s end.

What I find a little curious is the use of the word “da’avah” (faint) as the direct object of “mala (fill, satisfy).” How do you fill someone that is faint. A person becomes faint because they lack something, either water or air. Hence, God is not just reviving someone who is faint, He is filling them with whatever is lacking that is causing them to faint or be weary.

Many times I am thirsting after something but I am not sure what it is. I soon find myself growing wearing in that quest to satisfy this unnamed thirst. God has promised to quench that thirst and to not just revive me when I have grown weary, but to supply whatever it is that lack that is causing me to be weary or grow faint.

Beloved, your faith will not grow parched or dry, for I will “satisfy” it. I will lubricate it with my anointing and the flow of My Spirit. As you step out in faith, I will nourish and feed it, causing it to grow and expand. As you open your heart and expand your expectations I will meet you there and join with you. This will not be a painful experience, though it will challenge you (sensing God smiling as He says that). Like building new muscles in your physical body, the exercise takes time and effort – the micro-tears healing and building the muscles over time. So it shall be with your faith, which has already been exercised, but now it is time to go beyond the “normal” to the extraordinary. Walk with Me.

I will make a way for you where there is none and help you when there is none to help. For I love to wow you with what I can and will do as you trust in Me at all times. Let Me do what you cannot do, what others cannot and will not be able to do, and watch Me work in the midst of you. TRUST and OBEY MY VOICE, for I am speaking comforts to you and will bring you out of troubles that are on every side and show you that I Am unlimited and not subject to any power. I will give you grace and glory and help you, and bring you into green pastures where none shall spoil you and frighten you as I shield you with My own right hand and cover you with My feathers, says the LORD.

Ephesians 6:16 (AMP) begins, “Above all, lift up the [protective] shield of faith…” Above all means more important than anything else. It means it is priority. It says “Lift up over all…” In Greek the words are “epi pas” which means above all or before everything else – in other words – of the utmost importance taking all priority.

Consider this in the context of Ephesians 6:11-18 (KJV)

11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

According to this scripture, we are to hold faith above truth, righteousness, the gospel, salvation, the word, and even prayer – all of which we KNOW are important to Him. Clearly God thinks faith is VERY important. Faith is all about trusting Him.  Merriam-Webster defines “faith” like this:

1. the act or state of wholeheartedly and steadfastly believing in the existence, power, and benevolence of a supreme being, of having confidence in his providential care, and of being loyal to his will as revealed or believed in : belief and trust in and loyalty to God
2. firm or unquestioning belief in something for which there is no proof
3. firm or unquestioning trust or confidence in the value, power, or efficacy of something

Beloved, wholeheartedly and steadfastly believe God exists. That He is all-powerful. That He is good. Have CONFIDENCE in His timely care and steadfast loyalty. You don’t know and believe these things simply because you see evidence, but rather because you KNOW who He is and what His character looks like. Stand in firm, unquestioning trust of that. Have confidence in His ability to fulfill His promises. For He is good, and He is worthy.

Your silk has been prayed over and anointed with the Scent of Heaven’s Faith oil. The scripture that goes with this oil is 1 Corinthians 13:13a, “Three things will last forever – faith, hope, and love…”

The deeper meaning of this oil reads, ” Ephesians 6:16 says, “Above all, taking the shield of faith…” Faith is a priority to God. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” Cedar was included in this oil because cedar roots go down deep so that when winds and storms come, the cedar will not be shaken. Our faith should be like that – we should be so rooted in the Lord that when winds and storms come, we will not be shaken.
