But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all Thy works.
This is beautiful. It sums up where I am at in this moment. I’m going to break of down.
…it is good for me to draw near to God
When we’re near Him:
- it is easier to keep our eyes on Him because He fills our view
- we rest under His wing – he protects us
- we are comforted
- we have all the blessings that come in His presence
- fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11)
- protection (Psalm 9:3)
- hidden from the plots of men (Psalm 31:20)
- glory and honor, strength and gladness (1 Chronicles 16:27)
- Fear of the Lord (Psalm 114:7)
…I have put my trust in the Lord God…
- When we’re near Him it’s easier to trust Him.
- Trusting God requires faith.
- Those that trust God are:
- protected (Psalm 18:30)
- joyful (Psalm 28:7)
- surrounded by mercy (Psalm 32:10)
- blessed (Psalm 34:8)
- never forsaken (Psalm 34:22)
- provided for (Psalm 37:3)
- delivered (Psalm 37:40)
- directed (Proverbs 3:5-6)
- happy (Proverbs 16:20)
- prospers (Proverbs 28:25)
- safe (Proverbs 29:25)
…that I may declare all thy works
- Reminder that God is faithful.
- When we are near and trust we WILL have a powerful testimony!

Oooooooooooh I like that: “it is GOOD”. Many times when “good” is mentioned in the bible it means perfect, absolutely necessary, and beautiful. Like with the days of Creation.
