A dear friend of mine created an art piece with many of the names of God in Hebrew with the English next to it. I have it framed across from the toilet (very spiritual you know) and on occasion when I am there, the Lord will highlight one of His names to me that He wants me to dig into… today it was Elohim Yakol.
Elohim Yakol is the Lord who is able. This comes from Daniel 3:17. It’s where they’re about to throw Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego into the fiery furnace. And they say:
…our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver [us] out of thine hand, O king.
Which of course, He does. 🙂
I love this reminder of who He is. He isn’t just “able”, He is God whose NAME is He is Able!!! His very identity is that He is able… able to do abundantly above all we can ask or think.
What things are you struggling to believe He can do? He IS ABLE! Elohim Yakol!!! I suggest meditating on His identity – Elohim Yakol – run into this name because the name of the Lord is a strong tower!
Father God, forgive us for doubting that You are able… and in doing so showing our lack of understanding of who You are. Help us to see and know You as Elohim Yakol. We praise You as being the One who is able and humbly ask that You demonstrate that ability in our lives… to You be the honor and glory!
AMEN:) Everytime I turn around He is making a way!!! Go Ahead Elohim Yakol your the Bomb.com and only you cant make a way where there is no way!! I love you Jesus <3 <3 Thank you Sista for sharing this
Thanks for the reminder. He is able AND willing. Looking to you God to do what I cannot do.
Wow! Again, I needed to see this. It’s like the popcorn commercial: He can do it or His name isn’t He Is Able!
